If municipal elections are held without OBC reservation, there will be strong opposition: National OBC Morcha
Ranchi: If the government becomes serious today about the triple test, then it can be conducted only with reservation for OBCs in the urban municipal body elections. After the decision of the High Court, State President of National OBC Morcha Rajesh Kumar Gupta said the above mentioned things in a press conference in the state office today. Shri Gupta said that the elections for urban municipal bodies in the state should be done only after conducting triple test. For this, the government should not delay in appointing the chairman and members of the commission.
Shri Gupta said that if municipal elections are held without OBC reservation, the National OBC Morcha will strongly oppose it.
He said that the National OBC Morcha had been continuously agitating for triple test in the state and has been continuously demanding the appointment of chairman and members of the State Backward Classes Commission.
In the past, the government has conducted Panchayat elections without OBC reservation, now the urban municipal body elections should be conducted with reservation for OBCs under any circumstances.
Office in-charge Santosh Sharma, Anand Kumar Maurya, Arun Kumar Gupta etc. were present on the occasion.
Sincerely
