Membership campaign launched for Farmer Productivity Organization
Today, on 4.1.2024, under the Farmer Producer Group project implemented by the Indian Institute of Public Welfare, whose funding agency is SFAC, a total of 150 farmers in Landupdih, Serengdih, Edrumhatu villages of Sonahatu block of Ranchi district were linked to the Farmer Producer Group and received receipts. Information was also given to the farmers about the Farmer Producer Group and the benefits of the Farmer Producer Group.
The main objective of the Farmer Producer Group is to double the income of the farmers, farmers do farming in their fields and they are not able to get the price for it, then for that the Farmer Producer Group provides benefits to them by giving them higher prices than the market from their fields, promoting livelihood. Dena and play an important role in improving the living standards of the people dependent on agriculture. Farmer Producer Groups help small and marginal farmers/producers to get better prices for their products, reduce transportation costs and increase overall productivity. In which Rajkumar, Aman Keshari, Amresh, Sparsh Kashyap, Mahendra Koiri, Kartik Jhariyar, Vikas Yadav, Vishwanath Mahato, Faguram Mahato and from Indian Institute of Public Welfare, FPO CEO- Sudhanshu Kumar, Gulshan Kumar, Sohit and many employees and farmers were present. Information was given about the Farmer Producer Group and after joining the farmer, he was told about the benefits. The said campaign was run under the leadership and supervision of Telwadih Panchayat head Mr. Phanibhushan Singh Munda. A total of 148 people took membership of the Farmers Production Organization in the said campaign.
