Release of the new edition of Yogada Satsang self-realization text series in Hindi on the birth anniversary of Paramahamsa Yoganandaji.

Noida, January 5: 131st birth anniversary of Sri Sri Paramahamsa Yogananda, founder of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) and Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) and author of the highly popular spiritual treatise, Yogi Kathamrita, on Friday, January 5, 2024. It was celebrated at the Sector 62 Noida Ashram of YSS. On this occasion, the new edition of Paramahansa Yogananda's Yogada Satsang Self-Realization Pathmaala in Hindi was released. More than 800 devotees of Yogda participated in the event which included group meditation, satsang and discourses by monks. Earlier in the morning, Prasad was distributed to more than 1200 people in Guru Langar during Narayan Seva.

The main attraction of this birthday celebration was the release of the new edition of Yogada Satsang Self-Realization Pathmaala in Hindi in the evening program. Sharing the importance of the Kriya Yoga teachings that Yoganandaji gave to the world, Swami Ishwarananda Giri, a senior monk of the YSS, said, “Paramahansa Yogananda often called the Kriya Yoga path, which includes the scientific techniques of meditation, ‘the highway to God.’ His teachings are made available through the printed Yogoda Satsanga Pathamala. The transmission of this sacred knowledge will elevate and transform all aspects of people's lives. This is a course which can be read, studied and practiced even while staying at home. This series teaches the essence of meditation and spirituality in the tradition of Yogada teachers—Mahavatar Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, Swami Sri Yukteswar, and Paramahansa Yogananda. These teachings are now available to all truth-seekers who are seeking to deeply understand and personally experience the spiritual truths enshrined in our scriptures since ancient times….”

On this occasion, Yogoda Sannyasi Swami Adyananda read out a message from YSS/SRF President Swami Chidananda Giri: “'Guruji has said, 'After I am gone, my teachings will be my Guru,' and what joy he must be feeling today! “Through the Hindi translation of the new text, his soul-liberating teachings will now reach devotees across India in this powerful new presentation that he had planned many years ago.”

Swami Ishwaranandaji invites newcomers interested in learning the sacred science of Kriya Yoga meditation to register for the Yogada Satsang Lessons series at yssi.org/Lessons-Hindi . He said, “Despite our various achievements in life, there is often a feeling of emptiness or purposelessness. “These teachings of Kriya Yoga meditation provide us with the tools we need to fill that void—to reveal all the peace and joy of the Spirit within us.” Now, due to the availability of Yogada Satsang Pathmaala in Hindi, the liberating Kriyayoga teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda are accessible to Hindi speaking people.

About Yogada Satsang Pathmaala

“The release of the new edition of the Yogoda Satsanga text series marks an important milestone in the history of the spiritual work of Paramahamsa Yogananda. According to Paramahamsaji, the Yogoda Satsanga text contains the core of the teachings he was commissioned to give to the world as a special spiritual prescription for the coming global civilization.”

“The new edition of the Yogoda Satsanga text series is a greatly refined and expanded version of Yoganandaji's home-study program. The original series consists of 18 detailed lessons that are mailed to seekers — once every two weeks — over a nine-month period. This new edition contains a wealth of previously unpublished material on Yogada meditation techniques and practices from Paramahamsaji’s writings and classes—which lead to the attainment of the highest state of inner and outer harmony and balance and blissful divine consciousness.”

“The new version of the curriculum has been reorganized in such a way that new seekers will be eligible to apply for Kriyayoga after eight months of study.”

“From the very first lesson, you will receive specific methods, with the practice of which you will soon experience the benefits of meditation. You learn three powerful techniques taught by Paramahansa Yogananda as an essential first step in the broader spiritual science of Kriya Yoga, building a solid foundation for deep meditation.”

“After enrolling in the new curriculum series, you will also be able to access each lesson digitally through a digital app — the SRF/YSS App. Supplementary audio and video materials are also available in digital format with each lesson.
