On the last day of the Taekwondo competition of the 67th National School Games 2023-24 organized by the School Games Federation of India in Betul, Madhya Pradesh, the players of the state won 4 bronze medals.
In Under-17 boys, Mohd Asif Iqbal won the bronze medal in the 68-73 kg weight category.
Asif Iqbal won the bronze medal by defeating Delhi 2-1 in the first knock-out match of the best-of-three match of the knock-out stage, Chhattisgarh 2-0 in the pre-quarterfinal match, and Uttar Pradesh 2-0 in the quarter-final match. Whereas in Under 17 Girls' 46-49 kg weight category, Dhanmuni Kumari defeated CISC 2-1 in the first knock out match, Daman Diu 2-0 in the pre-quarter final match, Tamil Nadu 2-0 in the quarter final.
