Maithili Honor Day was celebrated by the International Maithili Council Jharkhand Pradesh at the provincial office Mata Vaishno Devi Nagar Ranchi 4 under the chairmanship of State President of the Council Amar Nath Jha. Maithili language was passed in the Lok Sabha by the then Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee on 22 December 2003 and approved by His Excellency the President on 7 January 2004. Since that time, Maithili Honor Day is celebrated today by all the Maithil organizations of India. International Maithili Parishad in Jharkhand has been celebrating it in all the district units of Jharkhand state. In Jharkhand, Maithili has been given the status of second state language, but Maithili has not been included in the Jharkhand planning policy, due to which Maithil speakers are very angry. Last day, the application with signatures received from all the districts of the state was handed over to His Excellency the Governor. The file was sent from the Governor's Office to the Cabinet Office and then three months ago the file was lying in the Personnel Department. Today it was decided in this regard that now preparations should be made for another struggle. A decision was taken by all the speakers to organize a public movement towards their language. In today's program, State Vice President Mrs. Dr. Abha Jha, as the main speaker, highlighted the importance of mother tongue and said that importance of mother tongue has been given in the new education. Which will be in the interest of the children. In today's program, State General Secretary Ajay Jha, State Treasurer Willat Poddar, Metropolitan President CN Jha, Vice President Yatindra Nath Das and Rajkumar Poddar, Binay Jha, Dolly Kashyap, Saraswati Sharma, Rajendra Sharma, Shakuntala Devi, Indu Devi and Shivam Kumar Jha were present. He was also fond of other languages. The vote of thanks was given by State Treasurer Vilat Poddar and the program cum stage was conducted by General Secretary Ajay Jha.
