A delegation of Vocational Teacher Association, State President Dr. Atal Pandey and Ranchi University President Pvt. Under the leadership of Awadhesh Thakur, met Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha and CVS Coordinator Dr. Smriti Singh. Thanked him by giving him a flower bunch and urged him to work in the interest of vocational teachers.
Let it be known that the Vocational Teacher Association had submitted a demand letter a few days ago, in the light of the same, met CVS Coordinator Dr. Smriti Singh and asked for equal pay for equal work, respectable salary for guest teachers, place for the representative of vocational teachers in the university. On talking about the action being taken on his demands on other subjects, he said that the decision is being taken keeping in mind the interest of the vocational teachers and the rules of the university.
Consideration is being given to giving fixed salary to teachers based on the number of students.
Need based teachers will be appointed in place of guest teachers.
University President Prof. Avadhesh Thakur thanked the Vice Chancellor and the CVS Coordinator and said that this is the first victory of our fight. We are confident that the university administration will fully cooperate with us in our fight.
Other guest teachers also said that we all are an integral part of the university family, it is our belief that our problems will also be on the priority of the university administration.
